Deer Control for Yards

Deer damage to landscape and turf is a challenge in the Northern Virginia area. At Sunrise Landscape and Design, we see the serious damage to lawns that deer cause and we are able to make a number of recommendations for you based on your preference and specific challenge.

Tired Of Deer Destroying Your Plants?

Our most popular option for controlling hungry deer includes DeerPro which is a commercial application that can only be applied by a licensed professional and is the only deer repellent that is approved by the EPA. The team at Sunrise Landscape and Design has been trained on the proper use and application of DeerPro and is ready to start protecting your landscape.

Other Popular Deer Control Options

Once we assess your property, we will be able to provide you with a solution that will work best. Popular alternatives or additions to spraying include installing deer fencing and netting.

Protect Your Yard During the Winter!

Deer are hungry during the winter, and even though your yard looks dry and brown, deer still enjoy feasting on the landscape. When the spring and summer come back around, you will see the damage caused by deer during the winter season. DeerPro Winter application is a good solution for protecting your yard during this season. We typically spray between September and early October when the hot summer season is over. One application will protect your landscape from hungry deer over the cool winter months. DeerPro Spring and Summer can be applied in May and early June and should continue over the growing season.

Sunrise Landscape and Design is licensed to apply DeerPro products and consult on managing deer-related issues. Our knowledgeable experts will work with you to come up with an option you are comfortable with and that also works with the growing season of your plants and flowers. Contact us for a consultation on protecting your landscape.

The deer population in the state of Virginia is estimated to be between 800,000 and 1 million and growing.
Deer can cause extensive damage to landscapes even in the Winter.
